Sweet 9-18K Gold Charm Bracelet With Mid-Century And Antique Components

£1,970.00Price

We decided to make this gorgeous charm bracelet from a Mid Century chain bracelet and beautiful antique charms. All in turquoise blues, rainbow of the opal, pearly whites, sparkle of the diamonds and Forget-Me-Not enamels. Indeed, this beauty once seen is not easily forgotten !!

The chain bracelet was hand made around 1970 and features elegant, elongated links, which alternate with classic oval chain links. The bracelet is made in 18 karat rich, buttery yellow gold. It is hallmarked with London import marks and date letter for 1978 and "750" for 18 karat gold on the chain and the bolt clasp. It also features a maker's mark "BO". This stylish beauty lends itself beautifully to hold the charms through the round links. The oval links are 16.7 mm long and 2.3 mm wide while the triple chain sections measure 8.6 mm in length and 2.6 mm in width max. She is 7.6 inches long and weighs a 3.5 grams without the charms.

The adorable opal and enamel daisy was hand crafted around 1890 in 18 karat rich, yellow gold, with added 9 karat matching colour gold bale. It is not hallmarked but tested. The centre of the daisy is set with a round, lovely natural opal and the delicate petals are finely enamelled in powder blue enamel, so utterly gorgeous and sweet ! The daisy measures 9.2 mm in diameter and the total length of the charm with the bale is 15.9 mm. It weighs 0.6 grams.

The lovely Victorian drop with the bright turquoise coloured enamel and a tiny gold star is so pretty and feminine. It dates from around 1870-1880 and is hand crafted in 9 karat yellow gold. The gold has been tested as the pendant is not hallmarked. The original, small bale at the top has been replaced with 9 karat gold, larger loop. The enamel drop measures 12.6 by 5.2 mm, while the total length of the pendant with the bale is 18.4 mm. It weighs 0.6 grams.

The turquoise in the fine, simple charm is of superb quality and colour, a small but potent pop of the most beautiful turquoise colour, the very best ! It hails from the Victorian era, most likely England, around 1880. Hand crafted in 18 karat buttery yellow gold it is not hallmarked and has been tested. We had her original bale replaced with a larger, 9 karat matching yellow gold bale. The lovely natural turquoise is cabochon cut. Its stunning colour is vivid and bright, absolutely amazing ! The stone has been set in a closed back, fine bezel setting and measures 7 by 3.8 mm. The pendant measures 4 mm side to side and 12.3 mm north to south including the bale. It weighs 0.3 grams.

The tiny pearl daisy with the green centre is a lovely little charmer. She is of English origin and dates from around 1900-1910. Hand crafted in 15 karat buttery yellow gold, she has a 9 karat matching colour yellow gold bale. The gold content has been tested as she is not hallmarked. The back is etched with a mysterious number "468", sometimes associated with luck and prosperity. Perhaps it was etched there for a reason? The central stone is a bright green, glowing paste (glass) stone, the colour of green garnet. Her seven petals are set with beautiful, creamy white, natural seed pearls. The daisy measures 7.4 mm in diameter, her total length with the bale is 15 mm. She weighs a dainty 0.7 grams.

The gleaming pearl charm was hand crafted in England around 1900-1910. It is delightful in its simplicity and yet big on style. The natural, large baroque river pearl is suspended from simple, gold loop top and bale in 9 karat, rich yellow gold. The pendant is not hallmarked, but tested to confirm the gold content. The pearl measures 9.7 by 6.7 mm max. It has an organic, irregular shape and surface with wonderful bright white tone and a delicious lustre. The pendant weighs 0.6 grams. We had a verbal confirmation from the FGA qualified gemologist that the blister pearl is natural, but we do not have a certificate for them.

Darling little antique rose cut diamond leaf is a sweet, miniature cutie ! Leaf is a symbol of growth and rebirth, a tiny but powerful reminder to just be you! This delightful charm dates from around 1880. It is not hallmarked and its underside tests 9 karat gold. The original bale has been modified with a larger one in 9 karat matching rose gold. The top of the pendant is silver. The bright and twinkly rose cut diamonds are set in silver settings which are open backed. The diamonds are estimated to weigh 0.09 carats in total. The diamond leaf measures 9.7 by 8.8 mm max and the total length of the pendant with the bale is 16 mm. It weighs 0.5 grams.

The sweetest turquoise and pearl daisy is of English origin and dates to around 1900-1910. Hand crafted in 15 karat buttery yellow gold, she has a 9 karat matching colour yellow gold bale. The gold content has been tested as she is not hallmarked. The central stone is a perfect natural seed pearl, white, lustrous and glowing. Her six petals are set with beautiful, evenly coloured natural turquoise. Three of the turquoise's have shallow surface chips that you can clearly see in our photos. The overall look of the charm is not affected. She measures 7 mm in diameter, her total length with the bale is 12 mm. She weighs a dainty 0.2 grams.

The darling Forget-Me-Not coloured little heart pendant is super sweet and charming, it makes your heart melt ! This tiny heart breaker is carved out of stabilised natural turquoise. We had the fittings made in Edwardian style in 9 karat sunny yellow gold. Stabilised turquoise is made of pieces of natural turquoise stone which have been infused with epoxies to make them stronger, improving their density. Sometimes, depending on the colour of the turquoise used, the colour is enhanced also. This heart is of vivid, deep turquoise colour and even has a couple of small inclusions, as natural turquoise often does. It measures 7.5 by 8 mm and the total length of the charm including the bale is 15 mm. It weighs 0.5 grams.

The whole bracelet weighs 8 grams all together and is in lovely condition.

We love .... this gorgeous creation with the Forget-Me-Not sentiment and so much charm ! All the elements sing beautifully together, complementing each other so well. The effect is delicate and feminine, yet it packs a punch with the Forget-Me-Not colours, some satin like sheen and gentle twinkle of diamonds - the perfect balance. We think it would be wonderful to wear it to your wedding for something old and blue, and enjoyed every day after. We adore it and hope you do too !!
