Stunning Art Deco Indicolite Tourmaline Diamond Platinum Ring

Irresistible, magnificent, breathtaking beauty. This gorgeous, light blue Indicolite tourmaline is making us go weak at the knees !!

Made around 1930's to 1940's in the classic, traditional Art Deco style it features the most gorgeous natural Indicolite tourmaline glistening in majestic teals and turquoise blues. So bright and rich, with intense depth of colour. The blue tourmaline is fine quality, with very few light, barely there internal flaws, all typical of tourmalines. The photos of the ring taken on the hand show the true clarity and colour - while the ones in the bright flash of the camera show very fine, tiny reflections of the flash in the stone - basically, they are not really there ! The stone measures 10.3 mm by 6.4 mm with 5.7 mm depth. It is estimated to weigh 3.55 carats. It is in excellent vintage condition, looked after and stored with love.

This stunning gem is set in a fine and sturdy four claw setting, adorned with four white and bright single cut diamonds, graduating down in each shoulder and mille grained. The ring is hallmarked with "10% IRID PLAT" for platinum with 10% added iridium, a typical combination of precious metals first used by Cartier around 1890. The top of the ring with the diamond shoulders measures 10.3 mm north to south and 17.1 mm side to side. It is US size 5 3/8 and UK size K 1/2 and can be sized up or down. It weighs 4.96 grams and is in fantastic vintage condition.
