Stunning Antique Victorian Fancy Albert Chain Necklace

This stunning necklace .... so special ! The most divinely chased, chunky linked Albert chain !!

She is an English Victorian beauty, dating from around 1880, originally a watch chain. As she is a little shorter, at just under 14 inches, we found a solution for making her even more special than she is already, by adding our ERA designed , fabulous chain extender, or two, or even three, depending on the length and the look you fancy. PLEASE NOTE that this listing and pricing s for the necklace only and the extenders are available separately, please send us a message ! We also include a photo of this loveliness extended by adding split ring to the length, which looks fantastic too ! You will find this split ring in our next listing. The necklace is made in 9 karat gold and hallmarked in several places, please see photos. She is a beautiful, sunny rose gold, the antique colour and patina achieved by the 140 years or so of being worn and loved. There is a beautifully shaded yellow bloom over the rose gold, as most Victorian jewellery was made in solid rose gold and then gilded in buttery yellow gold over the top. This is an absolutely stunning tone and look, making the necklace a great companion to both yellow and rose gold jewellery.

The gorgeous oval links are squared off on the edges and richly decorated with beautiful chasing. They are 6 mm wide for a substantial, chunky look. Both the original dog clips and the T-bar are equally and suitably sized, the whole thing is a delight ! Just a shade under 14 inches length the necklace weighs 29.6 grams. It is in superb antique condition.
