Stunning Antique Edwardian Venus Carved Natural Citrine Diamond Pendant

What a fabulous and rare find! The most amazing, finest of the fine carving of Venus, the Greek Goddess Aphrodite - in the most gorgeous, natural citrine of intense, deep and bright burnt orange colour, the most delicious hue ! She is posed gracefully, reflecting (on love?) with her head elegantly resting on her hand. Just beautiful !

This wondrous beauty hails from the Edwardian times, around 1900-1910. Mounted in a lovely, delicately pierced, white and bright rose cut diamond studded setting, hand crafted in 18 karat yellow gold mount in platinum overlay at the front, she is a classic Edwardian jewel. The mount features a graceful diamond bale, perfect to be suspended from either yellow or white gold, or platinum chain, and even an Albert chain, as featured in our photos. The chain is not included in this listing, but we have a selection of suitable chains in our inventory, please take a look.

The citrine is estimated to weigh 18.3 carats. In its finely mille grain setting measures 25.5 by 19 mm, the total length of the pendant with a bale is 42.5 mm. The depth of the pendant is 11 mm, and this gorgeous piece weighs 7.48 grams. The citrine has one very tiny scratch visible in our photos, which were taken with a flash. The flash makes it pop out, but it is barely visible in natural light conditions. There is a tiny, old repair to the back. Otherwise she is in great antique condition.
