Lovely citrines ... Citrine is a November Birthstone and a lucky 13th! Wedding Anniversary gift. Spiritually it is associated with supporting joy and abundance. It is also regarded as a protective amulet, increasing positive attitude and self esteem, helping to manifest creativity, wealth and prosperity. And they are so very pretty !!
The earrings are made around 1920-1930 in 9 karat yellow gold. The citrines have a crisp, briolette cut and are set on fine wires. They are fully articulated, suspended from the round, ball shaped tops. They are bright and sparkly stones.
The earrings are not hallmarked, they test 9 karat gold. They come with butterfly fixings in yellow gold, hallmarked 14K for 14 karat gold. The citrine drops measure 8.6 by 6 mm and 9.5 by 5.7 mm. They are individually cut, hence the tiny difference. They feature a uniform, lovely, medium yellow colour with great clarity and brightness. The earrings' total length is 15.7 mm. They weigh a very comfortable to wear 1.2 grams together and are in very good antique condition.
