Art Deco Boucheron Certified No Heat Burma Ruby Platinum Wedding Eternity Band R
We can't get over this splendid antique Art Deco Boucheron natural No Heat Burmese ruby full eternity ring. Those rubies are just delicious !! They are the loveliest of Burma rubies, intensely red with exquisite pinky undertones and velvety depth. Unmistakably the best of Burma gems !!
This stunning ring dates to around 1920 and is made in platinum. There is no hallmark for platinum so we had it carefully tested. The ring is signed Boucheron on its side, the mark is rubbed consistent with the rings age, but legible. It is sold with a certificate stating the rubies are Burmese with no evidence of heat. There are 29 rubies in total and they are estimated to weigh 1.15 to 1.25 carats together. The stones have a beautiful square cut and are channel set in a finely crafted, smooth platinum band, 2.78 mm wide all around. She sits lovely and low, 1.86 mm off the top of your finger and so is very comfortable to wear alone, in a wedding set or in your fantastic ring stack ! She is size US 5 7/8 or UK L 1/2 and not re-sizeable. She needs to fit you like a Cinderella's slipper - so you will know that she is meant for you ! She weighs 2.4 grams and is in lovely antique condition with just minimal wear to the facets of the rubies and the channel setting, please see the photos. One thing to note, barely noticeable, she is just very slightly oval, a little quirk of hers.
It is worth knowing that the untreated, natural old Burmese rubies are getting rarer and more valuable with time. Unlike most modern stones, they are not enhanced in any way, which means they come out of the ground in their glory as they are - the rarest treasures of earth. Burma rubies are the best, priciest and most sought after of all. Ruby has long been highly prized as the king of jewels and regarded as a gem attracting love, passion, success and creativity. It is a Birthstone for July and a 40th wedding Anniversary gift.
