Art Deco 9K Gold Split Ring Chain Connector

Here we have a very useful, 9 karat yellow gold chain connector dating from 1920's. They work in a similar principle to a modern key chain and follow on from Georgian and Victorian split rings, used for securely suspending pendants and pocket watches, allowing the pendant bale to go through and close securely - or for connecting and extending chains

This little English connector is crafted in 9 karat rich, opulent yellow gold, not hallmarked, hence tested. The ring is in great antique condition and fully functional, with its closing mechanism working well.

The outer diameter measurement of the ring is 11.2 mm, and its thickness is 1.1 mm, with the weight of 0.5 grams.
