Antique Victorian Pink Tourmaline Charm Pendant Dangler

So pretty and sweet, this little Victorian deliciously feminine charm ...

She is a lovely tumbled pink tourmaline drop. The pendant was made around 1880 with the bale modified by us, so it will fit through thicker chains as well as on the dog clip of your Albert chain. As she is not hallmarked she has been tested and she is made of 14 karat gold. The bale is 9 karat matching yellow gold. The tourmaline is drilled through and threaded on a fine gold wire finished with a lovely four petal flower at the bottom. She is a pretty, deep pastel pink colour. The total length of this charm including the bale is 18.1 mm and the tourmaline trop is 10.8 mm long and 6.4 mm wide. She weighs 0.6 grams. Both the gem and the pendant are in excellent antique condition.

Tourmalines are lovely and sought after gems and come in array of colours, best known in many shades of green, rarest in blue, prettiest in pink and red and they even come in yellow ! They were included in the Birthstone Calendar for October in 1952 and are the 8th Wedding anniversary gift.
