Antique Victorian Pinched Collet Set Garnet Pendant Charm Dangler

What a charmer this gorgeous antique pendant is ! The lovely, brightly coloured garnet sparkles in its silver surround.

The pendant was hand crafted in the second half of the 19th century, around 1860 in silver and features a lovely pinched collet setting we all love so much. It has a 9 karat yellow gold loop and bale. It is not hallmarked, hence tested. The garnet is a pyrope garnet of superb red colour and lovely, early round cut. It measures 8 mm in diameter in its setting. Including the bale, the pendant measures 15 mm total length. It weighs 1.3 grams and is in lovely antique condition.

The pendant is small enough to be used as a charm but looks equally good on a chain. A beautiful gift for a second wedding anniversary, a January birthday or any other day!
