Antique Victorian Oak Leaf Natural Mississippi River Pearl Ruby Diamond Earrings

These incredible antique earrings are a rare find.
They are hand crafted in the Continental Europe around 1870- 1880 in 14 karat rose gold and are silver topped (tested as they are not hallmarked). They feature gorgeous oak leaf design tops studded with twinkly rose cut diamonds, with an old mine cut diamond at the very top. The rose cut diamonds are hand cut and close back set. The gentle grey patina of the silver is the perfect background to the diamond's distinguished shimmer. Suspended from the diamond leaves are two natural, bezel set rubies, which have been checked, and show no heat Burma ruby characteristics. Further, there are gorgeous long drops fashioned out of natural Mississippi river pearls, encased in rose diamond set tops.
They look just stunning, a regal 37.6 mm from the top of the ear loop, and they sit, oh, so lovely on your ear. The diamond tops with rubies measure 12.3 top to bottom and 9.3 mm in width. The fully articulated pearl drops are 19.9 mm long. The pearls are 6.7 and 7 mm wide max, they have a beautiful lustre and shine. The earrings weigh 3.2 grams together. We will supply clear, soft plastic guards for the wires, so you need not worry about them getting lost.
Those lovelies are beautifully constructed and apart from the ear fittings they are fully articulated, which allows for a fluid and graceful movement. They really come alive in motion both in daylight and by candlelight.
