Antique Victorian No Heat Burma Ruby Natural Seed Pearl Pendant

We burst ...... into a sunny smile when we found this gorgeous pendant, we are loving its sizzling floral design ! Just look at those fabulous natural Burma rubies glow !!

The pendant is Continental, made around 1890. It is not hallmarked and tests 14 karat gold. The gold is a rich rose in tone. This colour is a perfect, subtle background for the luscious, creamy seed pearls and the stunning, brilliant pinky red of the rubies. The rubies have been assessed by an FGA qualified gemologist and are natural, no heat Burma origin. Both rubies and pearls are in a fabulous condition with just a couple of tiniest chips to he rubies, as is often the case with these early stones. You cannot see them without a very strong jewellers loupe. 

The pendant has a 9 karat gold bale added to it in matching colour gold, replacing an original, smaller one for more versatility. The centre daisy measures 14 mm in diameter. The whole gem set part of the pendant is 34.8 mm top to bottom and 33.9 side to side. Its total length with the bale is 41.3 mm. It weighs 4.3 grams and is in lovely antique condition.
