This darling English Victorian snake dates from around 1880-1890 and tests 9 karat gold. It has been reimagined from an antique pin and is ready to charm as a pendant now. 9 karat matching yellow gold has been used to make the articulated bale.
This beauty features a slithering snake with a cheeky, smiling face coiled around a glowing malachite egg. The malachite is like a dreamy painting by Nature with gorgeous shading and striations. These echo the snake's curling shape to a stunning effect. The rich, intense colour of the malachite works so well with the deep yellow of the gold. Simple but opulent and truly elegant.
