Antique Victorian Enamel Buckle Charm Pendant Dangler

Buckles symbolised never ending love and hence were a covert way to express love and romantic interest in Victorian times. As this lovely little buckle pendant features black enamel, it may have been made as a keepsake to show the eternal affection for someone loved and lost.

This pretty and fine, perfectly executed buckle is hallmarked with 14K for 14 karat gold. The bale is done in 9 karat yellow, matching gold, offsetting the black enamel in a very attractive way. The buckle measures 11.3 mm by 7.6 mm, the total length of the pendant with the chain is 18.1 mm. It weighs 0.6 grams and is in lovely antique condition, as is the enamel.
