Antique Opal Daisy Flower Cluster Stud Earrings

Those darling opal daisy earrings are just delightful, pure sweetness and charm !

They were hand crafted around 1915-1925, the early Art Deco period, most likely in England. They are not hallmarked and test 9 karat gold. Their original ear fittings were the ear post with clip on fittings. We removed the clip on fittings added the 18 karat gold butterflies.

These gorgeous earrings are fashioned in the shape of daisies, set with lucky 7 natural Australian opals each. The bezel settings are smooth, with the centre one mille grained. They are also open backed, and so safe for shower and swim. The opals are lovely, high domed stones displaying the full array of rainbow colours, looking lovely framed in yellow gold. They look a little pale in the photos, and are much more intense in colour in real life ! Their new owner is in for a pleasant surprise !

The opal set flowers measure 10.4 mm in diameter. Together with the butterflies they weigh 2.28 grams, they are super comfortable to wear. Their antique condition is lovely.
